Well, after the Best Buy pre-order price of
$1,199, it seems that was rather incorrect. The Xoom will be available for pre-order at Best Buy come Thursday 24th Febuary, for a still rather high $799.99 (which is only £493 to us Brits, although expect the actual European price to be much higher). Sound good? Sadly not. If you are an American thinking of pre-ordering/purchasing the Motorola Xoom, then you may want to check out the actual amount you will be parting ways with.
Accompanying the $800 tablet, is a $40 Portfolio Case, $50 charging dock, $130 stereo speaker system and a $70 Bluetooth keyboard, yet, surprisingly, no WiFi only model.
An odd little figure, though, is even if you're intending to use your Xoom as a WiFi only device, you still need to activate data with Verizon for a month. The money hogging scoundrels.
