WiFi Only Motorola Xoom Just £450

[UPDATE]
Well, whilst Apple is unveiling the iPad 2, PCworld have been busy sneaking around.
Turns out it wasn't a technical glitch, but infact, the WiFi Only Motorola Xoom will be retailing at £500. See the previous post below for a time when it was £50 better off.

Fancy jumping in on some 10.1-inch, Tegra 2, Honeycomb toting action? Then maybe the delicious site of the Motorola Xoom WiFi only SKU will tempt you. Pricing at just £450,
it's actually less than the 32GB WiFi Only iPad, whilst being jusy £10 more than the 16GB version of Apples wonder pad.
Hit the link below if you fancy pre-ordering some Honeycomb action!

[UPDATE: It seems the 'pre-order' button is down, so we can only assume PCWorld are not taking any more pre-orders, or it's a technical glitch. We'll keep you posted!]

Motorola Xoom Review

Well, it's officially here (well, in America at least), the Motorola Xoom; the 9.8- inch, capactive, Honeycomb (Android 3.0) tablet is finally here. But is it any good? Luckily, the folks over at Engadget have a thorough hands-on review, so hit the link below and find out!

Motorola Xoom: Shipping Without Flash

To be a true 'iPad beater', there's one rule; have Flash capabilities. That's the word on the street, anyway.

Turns out though, Motorola's Xoom tablet is to ship without Flash. Yep, the Honeycomb wielding, supposed game changer will be without Flash, at least on launch, that is.
According to Version Wireless' dedicated page to the Xoom, some fine small print (see zoomed photo below) points out that Flash is expected Spring 2011. This is probably due to the wait of Adobe Flash's new 10.2 media player, due for release in the coming weeks.

Motorola Xoom: Pre-Order Now $799.99

Well, after the Best Buy pre-order price of $1,199, it seems that was rather incorrect. The Xoom will be available for pre-order at Best Buy come Thursday 24th Febuary, for a still rather high $799.99 (which is only £493 to us Brits, although expect the actual European price to be much higher). Sound good? Sadly not. If you are an American thinking of pre-ordering/purchasing the Motorola Xoom, then you may want to check out the actual amount you will be parting ways with.

Accompanying the $800 tablet, is a $40 Portfolio Case, $50 charging dock, $130 stereo speaker system and a $70 Bluetooth keyboard, yet, surprisingly, no WiFi only model.
An odd little figure, though, is even if you're intending to use your Xoom as a WiFi only device, you still need to activate data with Verizon for a month. The money hogging scoundrels.

Motorola Xoom: Pre-Order Your's For A Whopping $1,199??

There's not really much else to say, but Best Buy are setting up pre-orders for the Motorola Xoom at a ridiculous $1,199 (£748.98 to us Brits). We can only assume it's a placeholder number, but seeing as it's live on Best Buy's site, it doesn't really seem like a mistake,
